Wright is the editor of the HAS book series Slavery Since Emancipation, a founding member of Historians Against Slavery, and the Nef Family Chair of Political Economy at Augustana College in South Dakota. He is the author, most recently, of Corporation Nation (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2013), which examines the evolution of corporate institutions in American history.
