The Scholarship of HAS Board Members
Historians Against Slavery is composed of scholar-activists. As dedicated as we may be to combating human trafficking and battling unfree labor in all its forms, we are first and foremost historians. Our approach to human rights violations derives from our individual expertise in a wide variety of areas — we draw on the lessons of centuries of abolitionism and apply them to the 21st century. Thus, our scholarship is an integral part of our identity.
Please take a moment to consider the recent work of board members, and consider what lessons we can learn from the past. Thank you.
